Mullenaux Family Reunion 2010 - July 2010

Cody's family had a reunion in July up on Mt. Graham. As Cody and I showed up it was pouring rain and hailing. Just what you want for a camping trip. It actually wasn't too bad but it did rain some everyday that we were there. The rain helped to keep it nice and cool. We were still able to do all of the fun activities that were planned. Everyone was there in Cody's family for part of the reunion except for Kim's son Chandon.

Jackson and Cody getting ready to make a run for it in the rain as we showed up

All bundled up because it was pretty cool outside

Jackson with Maddie getting ready to go hike to the Bear Cave

All the grandkids minus Chandon with Grandma and Grandpa Mullenaux

Me, Cody, and Jackson at the Bear Cave

Cari (Cody's twin) inside the Bear Cave

What a cute baby!!!

A nice family shot on a small hike near the Bear Cave

Here is Ian (Aubrey's baby) getting a bath in the sink - He is about a month younger than Jackson

Kortlynn, Jordynn holding Jackson, and Bailey
Jackson was very popular at the family reunion and was very well taken care of by Jordynn/Kortlynn/Kailan and the rest of the nieces and nephews - Cari's girls especially Kinnedy can get Jackson laughing really good - Jackson will just stare at Kinnedy

Randy and Cindy did a nice little devotional about families and had everyones names on little tags that we hung on a family tree. It was a very nice devotional. Then all the families had their pictures taken by the tree.

Cody with our family names on the family tree - it is so exciting to finally be considered one of the families with Jackson (not just Cody and I - yes I know we were still a family) - in the past it was always all the families with kids and then just Cody and I
Our wonderful little family by the family tree!!!!

Aubrey's family did their picture later because Eric wasn't there yet and Ian was taking a nap. I didn't get their picture, sorry Aub!!

The camping was a lot of fun. We had lots of good food, some fun activities, and played lots of games. A good time was had by all. We were able to sleep in the cabin and Jackson did pretty good. The first night he kept up quite a few people in the cabin because he kicked his legs in his pack and play most of the night (it was pretty loud), but luckily the second night he was out pretty quick. After we were done camping we headed down the mountain to Thatcher and attended the 24th of July celebration.
Jackson dancing with his mom at the family dance - he did the electric slide, the Macarena, and a few other dances that we learned on the spot that night

Cody and I dancing with Jackson - we were at the dance pretty late and eventually Jackson just fell asleep - he never complained!!

Aubrey had planned Pioneer paintball and the kids are lined up getting ready to be split into teams

They had pantyhose with flour in them that they were slinging at each other - they had a good time

With the 24th of July celebration they do a family dinner and then fireworks. We saw lots of friends and family at the family dinner that we hadn't seen in a while. It was nice to get to catch up with people and show off our cute little Jackson. It was another late night and Jackson was very good.

Cody and Jackson watching the fireworks - he enjoyed the fireworks and they were a lot louder this time and it didn't seem to bother him

A nice family shot even though Cody almost has his eyes closed!!!

We had a good time getting to hang out with all the Mullenauxs!

Not so recent pictures anymore!!

It seems like we have been so busy this summer. At the end of June we were able to meet up with Cody's Aunt Linda (Cody's mom's sister) and Uncle Ray for lunch before they flew back home to Missouri. Jackson was a good boy and gave Aunt Linda some loves.

Jackson with Aunt Linda

He really liked Aunt Linda

At the end of June Cody and I were the 4th year specialists at our Stake's Girl's Camp. When they called us for this I was very nervous but somehow things always turn out. We were paired up with another couple the Tenneys that have done this calling the past few years and they were great. The 4th year High Adventure was the Monday leading into Girl's Camp. We took the girls rappelling, shooting, and hiking. Then they camped overnight in tents and the next morning they built a tower so that the girls at girl's camp could climb up the tower the rest of the week.
Cody getting one of the girls ready to rappell

All of the 4th year girls/and 3 YCLs on our hike - we had a very good group of girls

Me and Stacie Tenney climbing the tower!!

At the top of the tower!!
It was hard having to leave Jackson home and go to Girl's Camp but it was a good experience. I also knew that we was in good hands with Grandma and Grandpa Castle. I got home really late on Friday night so I had to wait and see Jackson in the morning.

These are a few pictures of Jackson from July:
Happily waiting for his food - he is modeling a bib that my niece Miriam made for him - yes he is wearing a diaper you just can't tell!!

Still loves to eat!! If you can't tell from his size!!

Playing with his toys - yes Jackson does have clothes but it gets hot here in the summer!!

One of Jackson's favorite things to play with - plastic bags - don't worry he is closely supervised. He was having so much fun with this Bounty bag. He would put his feet in the bottom of the bag and was throwing his arms up and down and going crazy!!

Getting ready to go to church

Another thing he likes to play with popsicle sticks - The poor guy just stares at you when you eat anything and gets so excited after I eat a popsicle and give him the stick. If only he knew what the popsicle tasted like!!! Who needs to buy toys when you have things like plastic bags and popsicle sticks!!

We have so much fun with Jackson and are enjoying watching him grow up!! He is growing up way too fast!!
