My parents had planned a trip to Oceanside, CA and were nice enough to invite me and Jackson along with them. He did really well traveling but did have a hard time sleeping the first two nights. I am pretty sure he didn't sleep well the first few nights because he was getting his top 2 teeth.

Here is the view from the balcony of the place we stayed in - you can see the ocean in the background - we were less than a block from the beach

It was in the 60s and overcast/rainy the whole time we were there so we had a fire in the fireplace

Jackson playing with his toys

My dads friend David took us to Mt. Palomar to look at the telescope

Me and Jackson with my parents on Mt. Palomar - after we were done checking out the telescope we went to a pretty good buffet at a casino in the area

My dad and me with Jackson on the pier that was near the condo we stayed in

Me and Jackson at the beach that is on Camp Pendelton

Even though it was windy and pretty cool Jackson had a great time playing in the sand - if you look closely you can see the ring of sand around his mouth

The water was pretty cold but Jackson didn't care!!

Getting our feet wet in the ocean!!
My dad's cousin lives in Oceanside so we went to church with her and her husband and then had a great dinner at her house.

About to go into church
My dad's cousin has a dog and Jackson loved him. Everytime the dog came by he would get very excited. Don't worry he still won't get a dog he can enjoy other peoples dogs!!!

Jackson getting kisses from the dog - he loved it - he was hugging and loving all over the dog
We went to Carlsbad and walked around the outlet mall there. I did really good and didn't end up buying anything!!!

All the shopping wore Jackson out

Jackson turned 10 months the day we were at the outlet mall in Carlsbad. He is growing up so fast. He talks nonstop and makes the funniest sounds. He still laughs and smiles very easily. His top two teeth have now poked through. He says mama, dada, and uh oh (or his version of it). He loves to read books. He still isn't crawling but is very close. He gets up on his knees and can scoot backwards. He still loves all food and is now eating cheerios and gerber puffs. He is always entertaining us and keeps us laughing.
What trip to California is complete without a stop in at Disneyland. Cody flew in on Tuesday morning and we picked him up and headed to Disneyland. Unfortunately Tuesday was the day it rained the most but we were commited to that day since Cody was coming with us. It wasn't too bad (the rain would come and go) and we didn't have to wait in line for anything. This was Jackson's first trip to Disneyland and hopefully not his last. Jackson pretty much rode every ride that he was able to with a few exceptions that we just didn't end up going on. He loved Disneyland and would just look around at everything on the rides. The first ride he rode was Snow White. The halloween decorations at Disneyland were really cool. The Haunted Mansion looked really cool with the Nightmare Before Christmas decorations. We had a real nice treat for lunch and ended up eating at the Blue Bayou since it was raining and alot of the eating areas are outside. The food was good and of course the atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. My parents watched Jackson for us so we could go on some of the bigger rides. We rode Space Mountain twice and didn't have to wait at all!! Even though the rain was a little annoying we still had an awesome time at Disneyland and got Cody back to the airport on time!!

Out front of Disneyland - notice the fall decorations in the background

You gotta have a castle picture!!

Jackson riding the carousel

This is a tradition that we started on our honeymoon to get our picture taken at the Sword in the Stone - we have taken a picture here everytime we have gone to Disneyland

Jackson trapped under his rain cover on his stroller - thank goodness we had this!!

If you look close you can see my mom and Jackson in front of the Haunted Mansion and check out all of the cool decorations they do for Halloween

Riding in our coffin in the Haunted Mansion - Jackson didn't act scared and just looked around at everything

At the end of the Pirates of the Caribbean our boat stopped for a little bit and Jackson fell asleep - he didn't mind the canons and stuff going off all around him!!!

A nice shot with Tigger - he really liked the Winnie the Pooh ride and was talking away at the stuff in the ride

Waiting to go in the Tiki Room - Jackson just looked around and stared at the birds

My dad got a portrait of Jackson done - here he is posing for his picture

Jackson modeling his mouse ears - isn't he so cute!!

The last day we were there we headed over to the San Diego Temple. My mom was nice enough to walk around with Jackson so my dad and I could go inside and do some work.

Jackson outside the temple
We had so much fun and are thankful that my parents invited us to tag along with them. Can't wait till we get to take Jackson back to Disneyland again!!
Wow. When I lived in Irvine, we always went to Disneyland, but they never decorated it for Halloween! Those decorations are awesome!
