18 months

It is hard to believe that Jackson is already 18 months now. He had his doctors appt today. He has pretty much stayed in the 75% for his height, weight, and his head size. I guess he is very proportionate. He weighs 28 lbs 6 ozs and is 33" tall. When he got his shot today he barely cried. He eats just about anything. He loves "snacks" which he can say pretty good. He tries to repeat anything that you say. He talks non stop but a lot of it is his own jibberish. He says "shoes" really good, walk, outside, drink, basketball, ball, go go go, fish, dog, dirt, spoon, whoopsie daisy, grandpa (for some reason he doesn't say grandma), daddy, mom, hot, hot dog, cheese, chicken, car, cookie, bite, all done, all gone, bye bye, diaper, nice, what's that, ouch, baby, nose, eyes, yes, ok, and bath. He will also say shoot some hoops. If you ask him something he will say okay. He will touch his head if you ask him where it is, and will also do that with his belly and belly button. When he sees the carousel he says weee and loves riding them. When the ride is over he gets very mad. He says weee a lot when he is running around having fun. If he falls or something happens he says whoa or uh oh. He says no no a lot!!! His favorite show to watch right now is the Backyardigans. There is a Samurai episode and he will say kick and then kick his leg. He likes to try and copy anything that you do. He will grab the lotion and act like he is putting it on. He will brush or comb his hair. He throws a blanket or towel over his head and wants you to play peek-a-boo with him. He gets jealous when you are holding or paying attention to other kids. He loves to rummage through the cabinets in our bathroom and is always running off with something he probably shouldn't have. He gives really good hugs and will give you a kiss on the mouth. As he hugs he will pat you on the back. He loves to hug stuffed animals. His favorites are his Mickey Mouse, Tigger, and a little dog. He likes to be in charge of the remote control and runs off with it as he changes the channel. Grabs any phone he can find. He has set off the alarm to our house twice now with my keychain and I had to call the alarm company and tell them not to send the police. When the siren went off he freaked out and cried (it is very loud). He hits, throws stuff at you and thinks it is very funny. He loves to read books. His favorites are Put Me in the Zoo and Barnyard Dance. He loves to swim and play in the water. He loves to play in the backyard. He loves to swing and go down slides. He will say jump and try to jump but he doesn't actually come off the ground. He loves to drive the car. He is officially in nursery and goes in just fine. He actually has been going with people from my primary presidency for the last couple weeks because I have had to play the piano during primary. He is still obsessed with our computer. He was at our friends house and they had a play laptop he loved it and carried it around the whole time. He also really liked their basketball hoop. He doesn't understand what walk means. He says walk whenever he wants something or wants to do something and also when he wants to walk. We think that is what he is saying, it could be that he is saying want but I don't think it is. Whenever Cody lays on the ground he just constantly climbs all over him or jumps on him. He likes to clap and will fold his arms but not usually during the prayer!! Today for his nap I gave him a pacifier that is ripped and he cried for a little while but eventually went to sleep. We will see how that goes over tonight. It was funny watching him trying to suck on the pacifier and pulling it out of his mouth and looking at it, then putting it back in his mouth trying to suck on it. Poor guy!!! He is non stop entertainment for us. I am sure there is more about him that I will remember later.

On the go!!! He left his sunglasses on for a little while

Playing outside with the hose - He figured out how to get the water on and was spraying it everywhere and got a little mad as he aimed it in his face for a while!!!

Way too cute

He loves to play in the water out back

He was trying to lift Cody's big weights so we got him out some smaller ones that he was lifting with Cody

Working on those muscles

We went to Cheescake Factory to celebrate Father's Day, our 13 year anniversary, and Jackson turning 18 months. We even ordered him his own meal. He mostly ate the french fries that came with it but he did love the strawberry lemonade that came with it. He loves to drink any drink that is in a cup with a straw. If he sees you with a drink he tries his hardest to get some!!!

Acting silly with dad at the Cheescake Factory

He likes to plug his ears a lot we are not sure why

Not a great picture but it is Jackson in nursery officially having snack time - 6/19/11

We got him a swing for the back porch and Cody put it up on Father's day - what a good daddy he is - Cody didn't get as spoiled as he should have on Father's day but in my defense it was also our anniversary!!!

He loves to swing - don't worry he isn't naked he does have a diaper on - It is really hot here right now!!!

Every day that goes by Jackson does so many more fun and cute things. We are loving it but it is going by way to fast. We are so happy he is part of our family.
