Jackson lately

It seems like Jackson has grown up so much lately.  He says so many things and will pretty much repeat anything that you say.  When he wakes up he goes through his list of things that he wants...milk, movie, game (means to play the wii), and snack.  He will also usually ask for daddy too but he is ok when I tell him he is at work.  He has these flannel blankets that aren't anything special but that is what he likes to carry around.  There are 3 of them which is nice but he usually has 2 at a time.  He says blankets really cute.  He is happy that our weekly zoo trips have started up again but I think he likes to push the buttons on the signs and play at the playgrounds they have more than see the animals.  If another kids goes near the buttons he will point at them and say stop my buttons.  He is a night owl.  I went to the ballet one night with friends and Cody was gone so as I picked him up after the ballet at about 10:45 pm he sang songs in the car the whole way home!!  He really likes to sing and suprisingly knows quite a few songs and knows most of the words.  He likes to sing twinkle twinkle little stars, the wheels on the bus (on his own he mostly just does a few actions), the abc song, the eensy weensy spider, popcorn popping, I Love to see the Temple, Book of Mormon stories, and lately jingle bells.  He has a toy piano and he pounds on it and sings jingle bells.  For the longest time our nightly ritual was to run around the house and chase each other.  Usually Cody would carry him and I would chase them.  Now we have started to just jump and play on our bed.  He calls it pillows because he wants to go see the pillows.  He tries to stretch out going to bed as long as he can.  He will ask for pillows and then say run (which means he wants us to chase him), then he will ask for pillows again, and so on.  He always wants to pull the chain on the light in his room and make the chains hit the lights (which he calls ding ding).  He still loves his gator puppet which he calls gator or chomp chomp.  He still loves the Backyardigans and will usually ask for Tasha and then he will start to ask for Pablo and Uniqua.  He likes to watch Tangled, Gnomeo and Juliet, and most Disney movies he has seen.  Anytime we pass a Del Taco he will say taco, or a pizza place he will say pizza, a McDonalds he will say nuggets.  He loves to ride the carousel at the mall and the zoo.  Anything that you are doing he wants to be involved in.  Cody has started letting him climb up on a chair and help him out with things it is really cute but sometimes not always so helpful!!  He has been doing this for a long time but he will say ghost which means he wants you to put his blanket over his head so he can be a ghost.  He also likes for us to be ghosts too and he will say mama ghost.  He got a Mickey Mouse from Disneyland when we went and he is probably the most attached to that but likes lots of other stuffed animals.  He will give them hugs and kisses.  Lately he seems threatened by babies.  On the box of huggies there is a baby and he would walk by it and say stop it baby no no.  He is a typical boy he throws, and kicks everything and also likes to hit.  He is a pretty good eater and of course loves pizza, cookies, suckers, juice, candy, chicken nuggets, cheese, and he will eat vegetables also but I am sure they are probably not his favorite.  He loves the applesauce pouches and he calls them these or this.  I try to limit him to only 3 a day.  He will clap his hands and cheer for you or himself.  The last time we were at the doctor he weighed 33+ pounds.  He is going to be 2 in less than 2 weeks!!!

 Cody lets him pull up a chair and help him do the dishes. This is one of his favorite things to do. He makes a huge mess with the water but has so much fun. It is to bad he isn't ready to take over the dish washing duties yet!!! - 11/6/2011

Drinking a soda and driving the truck - his favorite things - He always wants to drive - Everytime we get in the car he begs to "drive" and once you get him out of his car set he asks to climb up which means he climbs up to the front and drives the car - He loves any kind of drink with a straw - A lot of times you can just put water in a cup for him but he is starting to get more picky - He loves cherry limeades from sonic - 11/19/2011

It is fun seeing Jackson grow up and do so many fun new things but it is also sad that he is growing up way too fast.
