Happy Jackson Day!!!

Today is officially Jackson Day!!! A year ago today we welcomed Jackson into our home. A friend of ours made a comment about how people that have adopted children celebrate gotcha day. I thought this was a great idea. Who doesn't want to celebrate more!!! The year has gone by so fast but it is also hard to remember times when we didn't have Jackson.

This was our second meeting with Jackson - It was so hard having to see him leave in someone else's car but ours - Even though he wasn't officially ours yet from the moment we met him it felt like he belonged with us and that he was a part of our family - A couple days later he got to come and stay with us!!!

Already smiling and laughing at his daddy!! He is a daddy's boy!!

We decided to take Jackson to the Rainforest Cafe to celebrate - He loves it!! He was constantly looking around at the different animals as they would make noise and move periodically. He also likes the thunderstorms.

He started doing this stink face recently

Our happy little family

Checking out the fish tank

After we were done at the Rainforest Cafe we let him ride the carousel. He loves carousels!! Once we got home we let him open a gift we got for the whole family.

We got a hiking backpack for Jackson. Not only is it a Jackson Day gift but it will most likely be our Valentine and Easter gifts as well!!!

After he saw his gift Cody said he had a family activity for us. You will never guess what it was???!!!

Cody had a fire pit and decided to burn a big pile of papers we had that needed to be shredded. I thought he could have at least had marshmallows we could roast too!!!

Modeling the new gift!!! Can't wait to get out and try this baby out!!

We are so grateful for Jackson and can't imagine our lives without him. Hope everybody had an awesome Jackson Day!!!
